FAQ

  • Are dogs allowed?
    Dogs are welcome at Summerfest, they must be well behaved and kept on a lead at all times. You must clean up after your dog. Dogs must not be left in cars. We reserve the right to refuse entry or eject your dog from the event. Please consider that there will be pyrotechnics and fireworks used throughout the event.
  • Can I take pictures or video?
    Yes please do, however drones are not permitted. Please share your pictures and video with us here https://www.facebook.com/xplosivefireworkevents
  • Is camping available?
    There is no camping available at the event, there are however campsites located nearby.
  • Can we bring chairs?
    Yes, definitely, bring chairs or a blanket and make yourself comfortable!
  • Can we bring our own food and drink?
    Yes, we encourage you to bring your own picnic, there is a dedicated picnic area at the event. Please do not bring your own alcohol to the event.
  • Can we bring a gazebo or tent?
    You cannot bring a gazebo but you are allowed to bring a small beach tent for shade.
  • How much are tickets?
    Please see the tickets page for current prices.
  • Are children free?
    Infants ages 0-2 years old are free (but you must register for a free infant ticket). Children ages 3-15 years must have a Child ticket for entry.
  • Are there any concessions?
    Sorry, no.
  • Can I buy tickets on the gate?
    This depends on availability, if the event has sold out, tickets will not be available. It is best to purchase in advance.
  • Are there creche facilities?
    No, you are responsible for your own children!
  • Are there plenty of toilets?
    Yes, there will be plenty of portable toilets, urinals and fixed toilets on site.
  • Are there disabled facilities?
    Yes, there are accessible toilets at the event. There is accessible parking available to blue badge holders. The ground is generally flat and suitable of mobility scooters and wheelchairs.
  • What is the ground like?
    Summerfest and the car parks are located on a grass field which is generally flat and hard. There are some undulating features and the grass could hide small ruts. The site can become soft following rain but it is well drained and we have experienced little issue in the past. The ground is generally suitable for wheelchair and mobility scooter users but the site is no cricket pitch!
  • Is there mobility hire at the event?
    No, sorry there are no mobility scooters to hire at the event.
  • What happens if it rains?
    Almost all of the attractions will go ahead in any weather including the fireworks. Some weather conditions like low cloud or wind could affect the flying displays and hot air balloons.
  • Is there a schedule?
    The main event schedule will be published on the event information page, social media and emailed out closer to the event. We reserve the right to alter the schedule at any time.
